Please tell me if it is so. OK now people tell me that you cannot go back in time due to a Grandfather Paradox that keeps us from changing events that happen in past years. Basically, reason is because you could go back and off your grand pop. Then you were never born, so how did you come.

Steven Gibbs has talked about the HDR Grandfather Paradox. It is basically a long and complicated process. He says you go to an alternate time line that is not the same as our own.

What is the Grandfather Paradox?

Well some say there can be no time travel grandfather paradox. The idea is that OK suppose you can time travel back to when your grandfather is young. That is way before he meets grams, so they never marry. That means you are never conceived, so then how you could gone back in time? And if you never went back then who got rid of granpy? This is the sad truth of the Grandfather Paradox.

There are those who claim that time travel is impossible because of the Grandfather Paradox. The idea is that if you could time travel then you could go back and off your grandpa. Thus they claim that a time machine is a hoax due to the paradox. However, what if when you go back you go to an alternate timeline?

You see a man very close to gramps, but not exactly the same, as in sliders. This would allow you to travel in the 4th dimension both forward and back - because there is no Grandfather Paradox.
