Dad told me. Know who your FRIENDS are. Also, we need to understand our own enemies. Wisdom comes from experience. Most of us do not like our bosses because they rate us. OK, so that affects our income. Honestly, a lot of people have told me managers... do zero. Basically, they are an unnecessary company expense. For example, like what is their purpose even? Do you realize that they probably think that they are the good ones? Yeah, you are BAD in their eyes. It is funny how few people think what they are doing is wrong.
