microscopic science
Pasteur is seen by scientists now as one of their very own. However, that was not always the case. Read your history and learn how hard it was for him to introduce his theory on germs. The scientists of his day laughed at him and called him names. Fact is, they thought it was funny to hear that in the case of common diseases it was invisible germs that were the cause. They did not want to sterilize a patient before surgery. Sadly, they did not believe that something invisible could harm us. Patients in hospitals died needlessly for many years. Learn history on microscopic science.
