Rental units are at their highest vacancy in 30 years. This is not a typo. Well, we all know that construction of new apartments has been near a standstill since 2007. Population of america is growing. However, there are more people without work that cannot afford to pay rent. If the recovery were real there would be fewer vacancies not more.
