What we see is that the world we live in now looks quite different than the one we saw 50 years ago. Think back to 1959. They had a lot less technology. Back then computers were huge and very expensive. Few could imagine 2009. It was a time of 50's slang words. Rock music was just getting started. Well, the world of 2059 would be just as mysterious to us.
It's alien slang and music - so very odd to us. And yet, they will probably laugh when they see those cheesy 70's sci-fi movies. What makes them sound so corny? Hmmm, people with 70's cars, speaking 70's slang, and with 70's hair styles.
