There are many different reasons to make our world a better place. However, One of the easier ways is education, because as the saying goes - if you give a man a fish he eats for one day, but if you teach him to fish he eats everyday.
There are over a billion people on planet earth who struggle with dire poverty, because they are scraping by on less than a dollar a day. The way to improve their lot is education. Currently, our american empire spends 8X on war machines than schools. This must change soon, for now we stand at a crossroads and must decide what we want future life to be like.
