According to science it is billions of years old, but according to certain religious leaders it is only thousands of years old. Well, which is correct?

Are we to believe the men of science who once told us that flies emerge from rotting meat, or are we to trust in God that told us that each form of life comes from a similar parent?

We know now that old clothes do not generate rats, but some of us believe that rocks can generate bacteria. Well, all life comes from God.
